Crochet
Crochet Flowers:
In this project, I used shell stitch. These flowers are so easy and quick to make and is a suitable project for anyone, even a beginner. They are very useful. You can turn them into bookmarks or you can even sew, glue, or Velcro them onto hats, scarves, shirts, jackets, pants and so much more!
Materials:
- Worsted weight yarn (color of your choice)
- Crochet hook size H (5.00mm)
Abbreviations to know for this project:
- dc = double crochet
- sl st = slip stitch
- ch = chain
- rep = repeat
Instructions:
- ch 10
- join 1st ch to last ch with sl st
- work 3 dc in first ch from the hook
- sl st in next ch
- *shell stitch in next ch (shell stitch = 3 or 4 dc in same ch)
- sl st in next ch from the hook*
- rep steps between the 2 * until you go all the way around the circle
- tie off and enjoy!
Popcorn Bracelet:
In this project I used the popcorn stitch. This bracelet is very pretty and is perfect for gifts or just for yourself. This is a project for intermediate to advanced crocheters.
Materials:
- Worsted weight yarn (color of your choice)
- Hook size H (5.00mm)
- Sewing needle and thread (I used black thread, but white will work too)
- Small button of your choice (I just used a simple white button but a fancier one will work too, as long as it's not too big)
- dc = double crochet
- pc = popcorn stitch
- ch = chain
- rep = repeat
- make a ch long enough to securely wrap once completely around your wrist (my ch was 20 stitches long)
- add 4 more ch to your total of ch
- in the 4th ch from the hook work a dc
- *ch 1 and work 5 dc into the next ch
- remove the loop from the hook and work your hook into the previous ch you made
- work the hook back through the loop and pull the loop through the ch you should still have on the hook*
- rep the steps between the * all the way down the ch until you only have 2 ch remaining (the steps between the 2 * show how to do 1 pc)
- do 1 dc in the last 2 ch and tie off
- sew a button onto the right side of your bracelet
- tie off and enjoy!
